The Plough Inn at Eaton was one of the first venues I photographed in cheshire East many years ago. A lovely little country pub with a converted barn that is full of character. The staff are really accommodating and lovely to work alongside. They regularly have open evening when the splender of the Plough is set up for you to see. Below is a transcript of a chat we had with Ella and Alec about their experience of getting married. A lovely couple with a lovely family. It’s also a very small world when you realise that you went to school with some of the extended family…
How did you both meet?
We met at the Cock Inn pub in Leek Staffordshire. Where we both had part time jobs as teenagers
What was the proposal like?
The proposal was magical! Alec took me to the roaches and proposed on a spot I used to go with my late grandfather. He’d then arranged surprise drinks with our families.
How did you find wedding planning?
Very very stressful as we had it cancelled 3 times with covid!! Our original wedding venue went under as did many of the original suppliers we were using.
Why did you choose your wedding venue?
It’s such a beautiful simple venue, close to home and felt perfect for us.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Our favourite part was having the first pint of real ale as a married couple.
What song did you have for your first dance, and why did you choose it
We chose Lucy Spragan- thanks for choosing me. We’ve listed to Lucy for many years at various festivals we have been to and that song in particular just felt right
