Here We talk to Gemma & Darren who recently married at Styal Lodge in Cheshire

How did you both meet?
Through family members and we also live in the same little town so we’ve known who each was for years before getting together.

What was the proposal like?
After 9 years together it was beautifully done by the river in our favourite city of Chester.

How did you find wedding planning?
Quite stressful at times but fun, I love organising things so I loved it.

Why did you choose your wedding venue?
The Style Lodge was just stunning and was really the only venue that caught our eye and the girls there were just super helpful. I could see my wedding there before we even booked it.

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Obviously actually getting married and saying our vows but I also loved the morning, getting ready with my best girls and just enjoying the build up and watching everyone bring my day together. I also loved celebrating in the evening with all our family and friends. Such a perfect day I can’t pick one favourite thing.

What song did you have for your first dance, and why did you choose it?
James Arthur -Say you won’t let go. Just the words were perfect for us and it was one I have loved from day one.
