Here we chat to Chelsea & Nick who recently married at Mottram Hall in Cheshire

How did you both meet?
We met on Tinder and had the most amazing first date on a pub crawl.

What was the proposal like?
Out of the blue as nick kept telling me he didn’t want to get married and secretly I was very disappointed but he was doing that to make me surprised and yes it worked!! It was during covid so we couldn’t go anywhere but he made our home look really romantic and cook a lovely meal.

How did you find wedding planning?
We was in a lockdown when planning it and it was actually not too bad. I had the time on my hands to plan it. On the run up to the wedding I felt stressed because I was worried it would be cancelled because of COVID but thankfully not!

Why did you choose your wedding venue?
It’s just stunning. Mottram Hall has fantastic grounds. It’s all in one place and beautiful venue.

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Marrying my best friend.

What song did you have for your first dance, and why did you choose it?
These are the days of our lives by queen. Different and beautiful words that have meaning.

Click here to view the beautiful Mottram Hall. It has to be one of my favourite venues in Cheshire, thanks to the amazing gardens and the ability to get some stunning sunset shots at the front. The venue has recently undergone a fabulous upgrade to its spa and rooms. The hotel is well worth a visit for a look round and the wedding co-ordinators are on hand to offer guidance. Mottram Hall does periodically offer open evenings, a great chance to see some of the rooms decorated and meet some of their suppliers.
